Taking a breather before and after the storm

After this past weeks rush of orders and prepping for the big Trunk show at Grace Jr. next weekend, I'm needing to escape the shop. Rising early this morning (3:30 am) I' started my day going through old photo files on the laptop, deleting old pictures giving myself more space for newer work. Seeing some of my very first beads and jewelry pieces makes me laugh and realize how I've shifted more into the metal scene. I love making beads but my true passion is metal, especially silver.

The above images are past beads and jewelry ranging from flowers to silver overlays. A lot of experimenting with glass techniques and partaking in the pleasure of designing ... too bad I'm impatient and can't sit long enough at the torch to truly master this craft. It's funny to see how the photography changes with each bead set and jewelry piece ... I'm still wishing for that Canon 5D. (Sorry Nikon)

Upon the reflection of my past, I've noticed that I've developed my own style which reflects where I've been, who I am and where I'm going.
