Looking around my surroundings and discovering treasures from sea shells to leaves and twigs. I've found new comfort and passion in casting. Natures bounty has offered a delicate limb (literally) a twig from a flowering tree captured last winter. A timeless piece, waiting to be worn by that one special person. Cast in sterling silver and painted in a natural patina preserving the natural look and character. The twig was made to look as though it was freshly picked on an early fall morning walk. Propelled between patinated sterling chain as delicate has the twig measuring 16" in length. A decision was made to keep this piece simple as to not take away from the focal point or beauty of this natural piece.

Hi Cindy, my name is Janell Armstrong and I have admired your work on etsy for some time now and recently started following your blog. I am also a jewelry artist. I've got to say how gorgeous the twig necklace is! Very well done! I've cast twigs out of metal clay before but it doesn't yield such beautiful detail as lost wax (I am guessing that's what you're doing).
I just love your jewelry and am excited to see how all of the possibilities with casting will add to it's beauty. Keep it up! If you're interested, my etsy shop is karenabella. There is a link on my blog. Take care. Janell
Hi Janell!
Yes, there's an abundance of possibilities with lost wax casting. I love it! I have so many things I'd like to do but the list is a little too long right now so I'll have to tackle one thing at a time :-)
I'll check out your shop this evening :o)
Have a happy day!
Cindy
ps: Thanks so much for your inspirational words
Just beautiful, I love the simplicity and the sense of such a connection to nature.
It's simple, rustic, and beautiful! Always well done Cindy!
Thank you Mellisa and Emma! It sold at the Trunk show this weekend.
These twigs are absolutely stunning in person! There will be MANY more coming.... a new line is born!
