Sunday's are special, this is the day our babies come home for dinner. They hang out in the kitchen with me while I'm fabricating our Sunday feast. Our long winded conversations over a few bottles of good wine can go for hours, our time at the "Round table" is priceless. Jokes, politics, religion and hunting... yes, my sweets is the Great white hunter, 365 days a week and it's all about hunting... home of the Eastman's journal library.

Sunday's menu.... Chicken and dumplings, making it perfect for this cold wet day by the fire. While we were in the kitchen I looked out the window and noticed the Tulip tree was blooming, the cheery shades of pink against the dark green pines really stood out, I had to go on a mini field trip and check it out. The creek was rushing ( it's a tiny spring fed creek) and everything green was thriving from the rains. I'm looking so forward to hopefully a "Fire free" summer. The sad thing is we need the rain but it's only going to feed more vegetation which means more chances of wildfires.

scars of wisdom

"Life"

Tonight I did the unthinkable, I broke my own rules and reacted to a situation that turned out unfavorable for the both of us. Tonight, I was pushed to the limit and have lost control over my passive side... tonight, I've crossed over and don't see myself returning to what was once an easy going individual, at least not for now.

Mark one up to the scars of wisdom, I must now change my business practices after learning the hard way. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have no choice but to change my policy, only those who trust and believe in me will not be affected, new customers will learn who I am, my passions, the love of what I do and to trust in me.

I hope this unpleasant experience has birthed the best in the both of us.

I wish you well
